Background: The WHO (World Health Organization) estimates that the death toll from four major non-infectious diseases among Mongolian 30-70 year old individuals is 35%, which is higher than the world average (17.8) to 17.2% and the regional average (15.6) to 19.4%. In Mongolia, cardiovascular disease accounted for 12.2% percent of the total disease, an increase of 249.1 percent from the average for the past 10 years and an increase of 372.4 percent from the previous year. Aim: Identifying the risk factors for patients diagnosed with arterial hypertension. Materials and Methods: The study was taken from a total of 290 patients with arterial hypertension, using quantitative cross-sectional research methods. When collecting research data, the general information was taken through a specifically developed questionnaire. The heart disease risk was identified by the WHO’s updated chart in 2019 using the Asia Pacific Region Chart for the World Disease Research Center. Using the non-laboratory-based CVD risk chart of the World Health Organization (WHO), we categorized the participants into 5 risk groups: very low risk (<5%), low risk (5-10%), moderate risk (10-20%), high risk (20-30%), and very high risk (≥30%). The ethical approval for the study was obtained by a decision of the MNUMS-Ethical Committee on Research on June 16, 2023 (2023/3-07). Results: The study involved a total of 290 people with arterial hypertension, with an average age of 57.36±8.8 year, and 19.6% (57) were smokers, while 80.4% (233) were not smokers. Speaking of the numbers, average body weight was 74.94±14.2 kg, body height was 160.44±11.75 sm, body mass index (BMI) was 28.93±5.2 kg, and systolic pressure was (CD) 138.06±16.7 mmHg and diastolic pressure was (DD) 85.58±12.74 mmHg. Of the humans involved in the study, 41.4% (120) had a very low risk, 33.1% (96) lower risk, 21.4% (62) moderate risk and 4.1% (12) high risk of 20-30%. Conclusion: About one in four of the total citizens involved in the study had a medium or high risk, which was affected by age, gender, tobacco, and systolic artery pressure.
