Background: Interprofessional education (IPE) is essential training for health professions to give a client high quality medical care. It’s crucial to evaluate attitudes towards IPE among medical students in order to implement IPE into the undergraduate medical curriculum. Aim: To test the psychometric properties of the Mongolian version of the Attitudes Towards Health Care Team (mATHCTS) and Attitudes Towards Interprofessional Education (RIPLS) among medical students. Materials and Methods: A total of 327 medical students (medical doctor, nursing, pharmacy, midwifery, physical therapists) from the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences were participated by using proportionate stratified sampling method. Data were analyzed using Cronbach alpha coefÏcient for the internal consistency reliability and exploratory factor analysis to test the construct validity of the instruments. Results: Of the total of 360 research instruments that were distributed, 327 (90.83%) were completed and returned. The age of students ranged from 19 to 40, with an average age of 22.13 years old (SD = 2.05) and most of the respondents (87.2%, n=285) were female. Stratification of the study participants by their majors, categorize 34.3% (n=112) as nursing, 32.7% (n=107) as medicine; the remaining 33.1% (n=108) were midwifery, pharmacist and physical therapist students. Cronbach alpha coefÏcient of the overall mATHCTS was 0.87 and RIPLS was .89 respectively. A total of 15 items RIPLS with 3 dimensions for the final scale (KMO was .89, P>0.0001, eigenvalues ranged from 6.71 to 1.55; total variance was 68.12% and factor loadings ranged from 0.34 to 0.84). In addition, the 14 items mATHCTS with 3 dimensions for the final scale after conducted exploratory factor analysis (KMO was 0.89, P>0.0001, eigenvalues ranged from 6.28 to 1.11; total variance was 66.26% and factor loadings ranged from 0.41 to 0.80). Conclusion: The Interprofessional Education Instrument of Mongolian version of the mATHCTS and RIPLS were demonstrated sufÏcient psychometric properties. However, further research should be conducted in other settings i.e., clinical settings in Mongolia.
