Background: Endocrine regulation controlled by hypothalamus-pituitary-peripheral glands combination. Development of pituitary gland differs between species. It begins to develop at the end of 4th weeks of embryonic (E) development in humans, at E9.5 days in rat and E8.5 days in mice. Anterior pituitary of C57BL/6 mice used in our study to examine the corticotrope producing cells and stem cell adhesion molecule E-cadherin at the different stages of embryonic developmental by utilizing immunoflourescence method. Aim: To determine anterior pituitary of C57BL/6 mice used in our study to examine the Corticotrope producing cells and stem cell adhesion molecule E-cadherin at the different stages of embryonic developmental by utilizing immunoflourescence method. Materials and Methods: Mice estrous cycle was evaluated by visual observation and smear test. With the pregnant mice, their embryos collected surgically at embryonic day 11.5, 13.5, 15.5, 17.5, 19.5 and 11.5-19.5. Sections were incubated with primary and secondary antibodies and then evaluated under immunofluorescence microscopy. Results: Mice has proestrus, estrus, metaestrus, diestrus cycles. Ninety percent (20) of estrus cycle mice and 71.4% of all female mice was fertilized successfully. Mice E11.5-19.5 anterior pituitary corticotrope cell examined immunoflourescence method and at E19.5 corticotrope cell population appeared equal at anterior pituitary lobe. Through E15.5, 17.5, 19.5 anterior pituitary stem cell adhesion E-cadherin secretion was increased at E15.5-17.5 but at E19.5 E-cadherin positive cell population were decreased. Conclusion: We found that in E15.5-17.5 days stem cell adhesion E-cadherin secretion was increased but at E19.5 E-cadherin positive cell numbers were decreased. In mice E19.5 corticotrope cell population appeared equal at anterior pituitary lobe
