Background: The second cause of morbidity and mortality among population in Mongolia is cancer, especially liver cancer. In recent years, it has required that nanocarriers with high biocompatibility, biosafety and environment friendly are developed by using therapeutically active medicinal herbs. Aim: Therefore, we aimed to synthesize silver nanoparticles using some medicinal herbs contained in Hepaclin-4 prescription. Materials and Methods: Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Saussurrea amara.L, Chiazospermum erectum Berh, Carthamus tinctorius.L contained in Hepaclin-4 prescription were used to obtain an ethanol extract and further applied for synthesis of silver nanoparticles. Results: Outcome from synthesis of silver nanoparticles was checked visually and spectrometrically. According to the result, synthesis of silver nanoparticles using medicinal plants was confirmed by its color changes from pale to deep brown during reactions. Also, spectrophotemer analysis was confirming that silver nanoparticles was formed during the reaction due to increase of silver nanoparticles absorbance after the reaction time increases. As regards to the results from atom force microscope, silver nanoparticles size was determined 27.98 nm, 32.02 nm, 39.84 nm and 24.62 nm for Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Saussurrea amara.L, Chiazospermum erectum Berh and Carthamus tinctorius.L contained in Hepaclin-4 prescription, respectively. Conclusion: Taken together these results, we have successfully synthesized the silver nanoparticles using the medicinal herbs contained in Hepaclin-4 prescription.
