Abstract

Background: In order to improve the results and quality of the course, take suggestion requests regularly, and satisfaction from the learners in each lesson, this study is important for further improvement of teaching activities. Also, social, environmental, health, education, and other scientific fields are gathered to process and analyze large amounts of data It is necessary to use and develop new technologies. Aim: Determining whether the training meets the satisfaction of the learners, detecting the problems facing learning, and then developing and implementing methods aimed at improving learning activities Materials and Methods: Among the 61 third-year students majoring in Bio-Medical Researcher in the 2022-2023 academic year of the School of Bio-Medical Sciences, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, a questionnaire with 3 sections and 42 questions was conducted with regard to the “Laboratory Instruments and Equipment” course generating a database of 61 video recordings. Each section aims to evaluate the course, teacher participation, and student participation respectively. In the data process, the cluster analysis partitioning method was used to divide the data into groups based on similar characteristics and create models. Results: The silhouette coefÏcient, the number of objects, the rating, and the overall rating of each cluster were calculated. The silhouette coefÏcient of the resulting clusters is between 0.2 and 0.5 on average. The evaluation result of the Hopkins Statistic coefÏcient is 0.5, which means that the clusters calculated by k-means and k-medoids methods are statistically significant. According to the integrated assessment, 21% of the students rated the course “Laboratory Instruments and Equipment” as excellent and 79% as good whereas 30% of them rated teacher participation as excellent and 70% good. As for the student participation, 39% indicated it was good, and 61% reported this as average. Conclusion: According to the results of the three groups of questionnaires, the rating of good in the models is the majority, about 63%. 61% of the students’ participation evaluation model has a medium rating, which should be noted or teachers should use teaching methods to improve students’ active participation.
