Abstract

Background: Echinococcosis is a chronic, unnoticed zoonotic disease caused by tapeworm larvae of the genus Echinococcus. EgA31 and EgTrp antigens, which are responsible for Echinococcus granulosus PAMPs, specifically stimulate IL-10 secretion. Echinococcus infection is associated with a 25% change of recurrence, and patients with recurrence have increased cytokines Th1 (IFN-g) and Th2 (IL-4, IL-10) after treatment. Zang (2008) noted that 82% of cystic analysts tested positive for IL-4, 74% for IL-10, and 50% for IFNγ. The results of the above study suggest that the determination of serum cytokines in the treatment of cystic echinocococcus is as important as the assessment of disease progression and treatment outcome Aim: Determine the serum levels of IL-6, IFN-γ cytokines in Echinococcus infected assays and compare them with treatment Materials and Methods: This study will be performed using an experimental research model. The study will be conducted from November 20, 2019 to February 20, 2020, based on the Laboratory of Clinical Pathology at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, School of Biomedicine, Mongolian University of Science and Technology Results: Serum IL-6 was 3.42±7.14 pg/ml and 178.84±262.65 pg/ml in control and case group respectively. IFN-γ level was 6.13±16.5 pg/ml and 182.04±473.06 pg/ml in control and case group respectively. These results were statistically significant (P<0.0001). Serum IFN-γ level is statistically significant for case and control group comparison analysis (P=0.0032). Conclusion: Serum IFN-γ and IL-6 levels are statistically significant for case and control group comparison analysis.
