Abstract

Background: Cervicitis is a clinical syndrome characterized by purulent or muco-purulent discharge visible from the intracervical canal or by cervical smear examination.1-3 Acute cervicitis may be caused by trauma or rupture of the cervix during childbirth or abortion. but usually causes sexually transmitted diseases, especially Neisseria gonococci, Chlamydia, and Herpes simplex virus.2 Cervical ulcers are caused by the redness and inflammation of the cervix, and the ulcers are a precursor to cancer.4 According to the Unified Statistics Database of Mongolia, 50.8% (1677293) of the total population of the country in 2019 are 3296866 people, of which 51.6% (865781) are women of reproductive age (15-49 years). According to a study conducted by the World International Organization, about 70% of women visiting women’s hospitals have inflammatory diseases of the lower pelvic organs, and most of them are pelvic inflammatory disease and cervicitis. Also, our country lacks statistical data on the classification of women’s inflammatory diseases by studying their data and developing treatment results. Aim: To identify the causative agents of women with non-pregnant cervicitis and to monitor the results by coordinating laboratory tests. Results: We compared the results of our research with the results of other studies.1-2 Also, according to the study of unique pathogens of the cervix conducted by researcher Taylor S. in 2013 on n=100 non-pregnant women, fungal infection was 3% and Neisseria gonococcal infection was 5%. In the study, fungal infection was 32% and Neisseria gonococci were 8.8%, which was higher than the results of these researchers. Candida albincas 32.2% (29), Cytomegalovirus 20% (18), and Creaplasma urealyticum 17.7% (16) were found to be higher than in many studies that investigated the dominant pathogens. The high number of co-infections in the study subjects increased the number and percentage of prevalent pathogens. 86.4% (70) of the respondents had co-infections. In addition, after repeated tests, 50% of Mycoplasma hominis, 100% of Chlamydia and Trichomoniasis were cured, which is the result of the 2013 Anagrius and other researchers’ “Treatment and Guidelines for Women with Cervicitis” study involving 62 women who administered 1g of azithromycin 1 time is waiting. Conclusion: In women with cervicitis, specific pathogens were determined by polymerase chain reaction, and vaginal smear analysis of Lactobacillus, Gram-positive and negative pathogenic bacteria, and Mobilunkus microscopically evaluated (Nugent’s criteria) bacterial vaginosis or 4.9% (4) with 7-10 points. It is determined that there is a weak correlation with the development of cervicitis.
