The investigation of NR3C1 gene rs41423247, rs6189/ rs6190 polymorphisms with Asthma
Keywords:

Background: rs41423247 and rs6189/rs6190 polymorphisms of NR3C1 may play an important role on the susceptibility of asthma. These polymorphisms associated with an altered sensitivity to glucocorticoids. Aim: We aimed to compare allelic, genotypic and diplotypic frequencies of rs41423247 and rs6189/rs6190 polymorphisms among asthmatic patients and controls. Materials and Method: The study was carried out by case control model of analytical study. 194 patients diagnosed with asthma, 189 healthy people were involved in control group. Genotyping was performed with PCR-RFLP method. Result: Allelic and genotypic frequencies was similar in both groups for rs41423247 (p>0.05). Chi-square analysis revealed a significantly difference between cases and controls for rs6189/rs6190 polymorphism. Carriers of non C/C+C/C diplotype were significantly increase risk for asthma (OR=67.56, 95% CI, 4.10-1114.3, p=0.003). Conclusion: It suggests rs6189/rs6190 of NR3C1 might be the one of the genetic risk factor for susceptibility to develop asthma among Mongolians.
