Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the most common cancers worldwide, and its main causes are hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. As part of the goal of eliminating hepatitis C virus proposed by WHO, the use of selective drugs has reduced cirrhosis caused by hepatitis C virus. Objective: We were aimed to study the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease among cases with chronic viral hepatitis B and C. Materials and method: We were used a non-presumptive sampling method of the research moment model. The study was done in outpatient clinic of the NCCD between September 2019 and November 2020. The results were analyzed using SPSS-25 software. Results: In the study we were covered 47 cases with chronic viral hepatitis B and C who was met the criteria of the study. 46.81% (n=22) of 47 clients have chronic viral hepatitis, 31.8% of them (n=7) had S0 or no fatty liver, and 68.2% (n=15) – steatosis at S1-S3 [S1 (n=6) 27.8%, S2 (n=3) 13.64%, S3 (n=6) 27.8%], 25 (53.19%) cases had chronic viral hepatitis C, 16% (n=4) of them have S0steatosis, 84% (n=21) had S1S3 steatosis [S1 (n=9) 36%, S2 (n=7) 28%, S3 (n=5) 20%] respectively. The average of CAP units in cases with chronic viral hepatitis B was 246.5 ± 68.7-336.5 ± 77.1 (p=0.070), and in chronic viral hepatitis C was between 260.5 ± 50.2 and 284.3 ± 32.1 (p=0.487), respectively. While for chronic viral hepatitis C, BMI was significantly related (p=0.019). Age (p=0.008), weight (p=0.015), BMI (p=0.025), triglyceride (p=0.035), low-density lipoprotein (p=0.037), NAFLD score (p=0.042) in the group with chronic viral hepatitis B and C was correlated with CAP. For chronic viral hepatitis B, age (p=0.026), cholesterol (p=0.049), platelet count (p=0.028), NAFLD score (p=0.042), APRI (p=0.016), FIB4 (p=0.005), for chronic viral hepatitis C, weight (p=0.001), waist circumference (p=0.003), BMI (p=0.011), and triglycerides (p=0.001) were correlated with fatty liver CAP unit. Conclusion: In our study, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease was 68.2% and 84% among cases of chronic viral hepatitis B and C. Age (p=0.008), weight (p=0.015), BMI (p=0.025), triglycerides (p=0.035), low-density lipoprotein (p=0.037), NAFLD score (p=0.042) of cases with chronic viral hepatitis B and C viruses) had a correlation with CAP unit of fatty liver.
