Therefore, it is necessary to consult professional specialists. In 2011 Moroccan doctors who were on shift night work, their drowsiness was assessed by ESS test, 24.7% had normal drowsiness, 39.5% had drowsiness, and 35.8% had excessive drowsiness. Our research shows that shift work particularly night shift work has a bad influence on the health of medical workers and which is caused many risk factors. Aim: To identify the influencing some factors of sleep changes due to shifting work. Materials and Methods: A total of 71 shift work nurses from 11 wards were enrolled in this study. The distribution of the study data was checked by Smirnov’s test and the statistical correlation was identified by Spearman correlation coefÏcients. Results: Out of participants 54.9% have had covid-19 once, 26.8% have had Covid19 twice, and 18.3% have never had covid-19. We determined the prevalence of insomnia among shift nurses was 32.45% before clinical insomnia, 31% of participants had moderate complications of insomnia, and 12.7% of had severe clinical insomnia. We determined the correlation between factors that contribute to drowsiness. If the duration of work is long it will be positive and the correlation will be moderate strong with r=0.31, p<0.004, the stress, anxiety, and depression due to the shift work, are positive with a weak correlation is r=0.29, p<0.003, the infection of covid, it is positive, weak correlation is r=0.001, p<0.024. We assessed the drowsiness 42.3% have normal, and 19.7% have excessive drowsiness. We identified the correlation between factors that contribute to drowsiness. If the duration of the work is long it will be positive, the strong correlation will be strong with r=0.51, p<0.010, if the workload is heavy, it will be positive, a strong correlation will be r= 0.68, p<0.003, if the participants are not satisfied with their work and it will be positive, a moderate correlation will be r=0.68, p<0.003. Conclusion: 1. 1.We identified ISI the index of insomnia among shift work nurses It is defined as 32.4% of have clinical preinsomnia, 31% of have clinical moderate insomnia,12.7% of have clinical heavy insomnia. 2. 2.The drowsiness was defined as 42.3% of have normal drowsiness, 22.3% of have moderate drowsiness, 19.7% of have severe drowsiness, 15.5% of have a little drowsiness. 3. 3.If the duration of work is long it will be positive for insomnia, moderate drowsiness is positive and the correlation with drowsiness will be strong with moderate.
