Contribution of professor Tumurbaatar N to prepare the specialists of Mongolian medicine with Bachelor Degree

Abstract

To determine the contribution of Tumurbaatar N, the honored doctor and an academician of Mongolian medical academy, on preparing the specialist with bachelor degree of Mongolian medicine, content of the books, pictures, journals and newspapers which mentioned him and what are said about him on those were analyzed. As a result, the faculty of Mongolian medicine was founded in 1989 in the National Institute of medical sciences and began to train a combination of Western and Mongolian Medicine doctors. The National Institute of Medical sciences became the National University of Medical Sciences based on the decree of Mongolian government. It had the responsibility to train professionals to work in a methodical way during the transition of Mongolia to the democracy and the free market system, the development of pluralism, the establishment of a multi-party system, the introduction of family group practice and health insurance in health care, and the implementation of state policies to develop preventive medicine.Currently, the International School of Mongolian Medicine has expanded as one of the main school of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences. It started with 26 top students and the curriculum was processed and approved in 1989. It started implemented from 19901991 school year and the first three years of 1990-1993, the first five years of 1993-1998, and the first six years of 19942000 were developed and implemented. From the above, professor Tumurbaatar N established the first point of training the mongolian medicine doctors and dedicated his knowledge and hard work for the localization of the new branch of the health care system that developed the International School of Mongolian Medicine today.
