Cancer experimental therapeutic model in C57BL/6 mice using MC38 cell line
Keywords:
Experimental animal, Tumor model, Cell lineAbstract
Background: According to estimates from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015, cancer is the first or second leading cause of death before age 70 years in 91 of 172 countries. Since 1995, cancer was the second leading cause of mortality in Mongolia population. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a cancer animal model for experimental animals and to implement them for future research. Aim: To cause a cancer model using syngenic linear cell culture in C57BL /6 mice, confirm it by histological examination, and develop a local experimental treatment model on the study model. Materials and methods: The MC38 mouse colon adenocarcinoma cell line was used in the experiment. To generate cancer model 1×106 MC38 tumor cells were injected subcutaneously at the site of the abdomen of syngeneic mice. Results: MC38 linear cell was used to grow metastatic and non metastatic colorectal cancer in the C57BL/6 mice. Conclusion: Bacterial DNA therapy reduced tumor growth in mice on days 25 and 30 of the experiment (p<0.05).
