Abstract

In 2017-2021, non-communicable diseases, including as the second gastrointestinal diseases, accounted for 16% per 10,000 population and are among the top 5 causes of death in the population of Mongolia. The rationale for the study was lack of evidence-based research for an effective model for the diagnosis and treatment of H. pylori-associated gastric disease in health services of Mongolia in recent years. In our study, we aimed to identify cost-effective method for the diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection for 36 patients visiting the First State Central Hospital and Intermed Hospital. Criteria for evaluation were selected, statistical processing was performed using quantitative research methods, and the duration of treatment, recurrence frequency, duration of illness, side effects, treatment and diagnostic costs were calculated by indicators. Studies have shown that the elimination of Helicobacter pylori after treatment with drugs for chronic gastritis caused by Helicobacter pylori infection resulted in 88% of clarithromycin-based quadruple treatments, 78% of levofloxacin-based quadruple therapy, and 19% or very few side effects after treatment. Pathological examination revealed H. pylori 16 (44%) in the body part, chronic inflammation 16 (44%) in the angle; in 22, 17, 14 cases reflux esophagitis, ulcer were revealed respectively, Kyoto 2 points were in 13 (76.5%) cases (p<0.05).
