A study of the insulin secretion in people with latent autoimmune diabetes in adults
Keywords:
diabetes mellitus, insulin, LADAAbstract
Background: Over the last 30 years, the prevalence of type 2 diabetes has increased rapidly due to drastic changes in the lifestyle of Mongolians, as well as the number of other rare forms. Aim: To study insulin secretion in people with latent autoimmune diabetes mellitus (LADA) in adults. Materials and Methods: The study enrolled a total of 19 participants. The associations between insulin secretion, duration year and treatment in people with diabetes was analyzed. Results: 42.1% (n=9) of the participants were male, with an average age of 38.4±10.6. As insomnia increased over the course of a year, insulin secretion decreased. The duration year of diabetes contributes to a decrease in insulin secretion. Conclusions: There is a need to improve the management of long-term storage of insulin reserves by improving the differential diagnosis of other diabetes.
