Tel: +976 94044253 Regenerative medicine is a new branch of medicine based on the development of tissure engineering and molecular biology. Leland Laiser was the first to describe the treatment called ‘Regenerative medicine’ in 1992. According to Kaiser et al, regenerative medicine is a brand new medicine which treats the chronic disease and organ system deficiencies through their natural healing ability of cell and tissue. The goal of the treatment is to normalize, repair, and restore the function of diseased, aged tissue and cells. Regenerative therapies range from platelet rich plasma injection to stem cell and tissue engineering therapies. Last years, the increased need of fertility preservation due to ovarian and endometrial insufÏciency due to genetic and autoimmune disorders, cancer, reproductive loss after cancer treatment, early menopause due to premature ovarian insufÏciency and delayed family planning, Asherman syndrome and thin endometrium. In this review, we discuss how regenerative medicine can be used to maintain and improve female fertility and treat infertility and early menopause. We hope you would understand the basic concepts of regenerative medicine and how much of their potential opens up in women’s practice for physicians and women.
