Bronchial asthma is a genetic disease caused by a complex mechanism of interaction between genetic and environmental factors. More than 70 specific genes associated with the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma have been studied, point mutations in polymorphisms in MBL2 gene have been shown to increase the structure and function of MBL proteins and complicate anaphylactic reactions in bronchial asthma. Therefore, we studied association between genotypes of the rs11003125 and rs7096206 polymorphisms in MBL2 gene and MBL protein level in relatively healthy and patients with bronchial asthma. According to the results of our study, there was no statistically significant difference between alleles and genotypes of polymorphisms rs11003125 and rs7096206 of MBL2 gene in case and control group. Compared with the control group, MBL protein level in case group and the serum MBL protein level of people with GG, CG, CG + CC genotype of rs11003125 polymorphism and YY and XY genotypes rs7096206 polymorphism were statistically high.
