Results of angular parameters of lip morphometry in Mongolian adults
Keywords:

Introduction: The lips are anatomically composed of skin, muscles, and mucous membranes, and play a key role in the relationship between facial anatomy, digestion, sound, speech, facial expressions, and sensory functions. Numerous studies have shown that there are many congenital and acquired disorders that affect the shape and size of the lips and that they have a certain effect on a person’s speech and physical and mental condition. In today’s rapidly developing cosmetic surgery in our country, there is a need to determine the morphometric parameters of this organ. The reason for our research is the lack of research on the normal structure and morphometry of the lips in our country. Objective: To study the angular parameters of lip morphometrics in the spatial state Materials and Methods: A total of 157 males and females aged 16-54 years were photographed with a CT scan computerized tomography and retrospectively identified using OnDemand3D Dental (OrthopantomographOP300®) viewing software. In developing the numerical parameters, the arithmetic means, standard deviation, standard error, and maximum and minimum values of the variance were determined using SPSS 23.0 software, and the relationship between the parameters was determined using the PERSON correlation coefÏcient and the gender difference using ANOVA. When the value of p is less than p˂0.05, it is assumed that there is a statistically significant difference between the two parameters. Results: A total of 157 people were included in our study, and the average life expectancy was 28.4±8.48. Angle (front) angle of upper lip 136.80±12.92°, angle of lower lip 136.71±9.91°, angle (lateral) Lower point of nasal septum angle between upper lip 147.97±15.98°, the angle between the upper lip and mouth 141.44±13.49°, the angle between the lower lip between the lips was 146.95±12.19°, and the angle between the groove of the lower lip and the lip was 139.71±11.37°. Conclusion: The angle of the lips does not depend on sexual dimorphism, but the angle increases with age due to changes in the shape of the lips.
