Introduction: Anxiety disorders are highly prevalent and often result in poor quality of life. According to the WHO report (2019), around 50 million people worldwide living with epilepsy. The main objective of the researchers is to study the pharmacological activity and components of several commonly used medicinal plants of traditional Mongolian-Tibetan medicine. Furthermore, enrich the natural pharmacological agents and produce herbal compounds for neurological disorders. Materials and Methods: This study investigated the sedative and anticonvulsant effect of the herbal complex preparation in mice. The herbal complex preparation was prepared from the 70% ethanol extract of radix Valeriana ofÏcinalis L. and leaves of Leonurus sibiricus L., ratio was 30:70. The sedative activity was evaluated with mice by open field test. The study of the anticonvulsant effect of herbal complex preparation in PTZ induced seizures performed in mice. Results: The result showed that the herbal complex preparation (750 mg/kg,1000 mg/kg) caused a significant dose-dependent decrease in locomotion and rearing. In addition, the ethanol extract (750 mg/kg,1000 mg/kg) protected mice against PTZ induced seizure. Conclusion: Herbal complex preparation exhibits anticonvulsant and sedative activity.
