Introduction: Benign ovarian masses are the most common ovarian lesions among women. laparoscopic surgery has been successfully used in the management of the ovarian benign masses. However, there is no consensus about the best surgical choice. The aim of the our study was to evaluate the surgical outcomes of laparoscopy versus laparotomy in the management of ovarian mass. Materials and Methods: We analyzed eligible patient’s data who met our criteria in the department of gynecological surgery, Urgoo Maternity Hospital between year 2016 and 2021, retrospectively. Results: A total of 200 women aged 18 to 78 years were diagnosed with benign ovarian masses. The mean age of the patients was 37±12 and 59.0% (n=118). The selection of surgical method was statistical significant in correlation to volume of hemmorhage during surgery, postoperative pain, usage of antibiotics(P<0.001). Conclusion: Basic diagnostic structure of laparoscopy surgery for benign ovarian masses suggests that it can be used in the same way as open surgery for all types of pathology.
