Result of anti-muller hormone serum concentration depend on age and other hormones in healthy women of active reproductive age
Keywords:
ovarian hormone serum concentration, depend on ageAbstract
Background: Serum concentrations of Anti-Muller hormone (AMH) are a key indicator of ovarian reserve. Serum AMH levels slightly increased during childhood until the midteens and reached a maximum at the age of 15.8 year. AMH levels decreased with increasing age. Depending on the region, a woman’s ovarian reserve varies.. The reason for this study is the lack of a study to determine the normal concentration of AMH among healthy women in our country. Materials and Methods: Study design: Cross-sectional Based on ITGEL Hospital, a specially prepared questionnaire was obtained from 200 healthy woman aged 20-45, a prospective study design. Height and weight of the study participants were measured and concentrations of AMH, FSH, LH were determined by a blood sample taken by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Data were analysed using the software Stata 26.0. Results: Serum concentrations of Anti-Muller hormone levels in healthy women of reproductive age are 3.77±1.89 ng/ ml. There is a statistically significant inverse relationship between age and AMH (r=0.64; P <0.0001). With an increase of 1 unit with age, the AMH level tends to decrease by 0.17 ng / ml (B=-0.17; standard error = 0.01; P <0.0001). As AMH levels increase with age, ovarian reserves decrease. The statistical correlation of AMD was inversely related to FSH, but no correlation was observed with LH.
