Objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of ozonated autohemotherapy in patients with hyperlipidemia. Materials and Methods: The cross sectional study was carried out between December 2019 and March 2020 by recruited from hospital at the Tunlaya city, China. This study was included 103 participant s aged from 40to 60 years, who had hyprelipidemia. All participants were divived by case and control groups. Case group underwent ozonated autohemotherapy and control group underwent autohemotherapy without ozone. We determined the serum level of total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol before and after treatment. Ozonated autohemotherapy was performed every day for 10 days. Results: A total of 103 individuals with hypercholesterolemia were included in the study, of which 57 (55.3 %) were males and 46 (44.7 %) were females. The mean age was 52.4±5.4 years. Results: The serum total cholesterol (4.55±0.75 vs 6.45±1.20, p<0.001), triglyceride (2.06±1.32 vs 3.09±1.02, p=0.016), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (3.02±0.59 vs 4.04±0.96, p<0.001) significantly reduced after ozonated autohemotherapy compared to those before ozonated autohemotherapy. Significant difference between lipide profile before and after autohemotherapy without ozone were not observed in the control group. Conclusion: Compared to control group the ozonated autohemotherapy can significantly reduce total cholesterol, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. The ozonated autohemotherapy can be used as another alternative method for the treatment of hyperlipidemia.
