Clinical performance evaluation of the hematology analyzer
Keywords:
Hematology analyzer, performance assessmentAbstract
Introduction: Clinical laboratory blood analysis are important in assessing human health, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring treatment outcomes. The accuracy, precision, and reliability of the test results are directly related to the operation of the equipment and to many factors, such as the reagent used in the test, quality control, normal and reliable operation of the analyzer, and preventive and scheduled maintenance. Hematology analyzers no indicate errors, the results of daily internal quality control are within the specified limits, and for devices with normal operation, it is possible to detect internal quality control distortions and system errors by assessing performance evaluation. This study evaluated the performance of fully automated hematology analyzers Systex XN-1000i and Mindray BC-5800 5-PART which commonly used in clinical laboratory departments, using evaluation methods.
