Review on experimental study of CpG DNA treatment in murine allergy model
Keywords:
Allergic rhinitis, CpG-ODNs (Oligodeoxynucleotides), bronchial asthmaAbstract
Allergic diseases are on the rise in the world's population and occur in many types, including bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and dermatitis. In allergic diseases, the Th1-type immune response is suppressed and the Th2-type response is activated. The use of CpG (Cytosine phosphate Guanine) DNA in the treatment of allergic diseases activates the Th1-type immune response, suppresses the Th2-type immune response, and reduces the production of IgE from B cells. CpG DNA is a short molecule that contains the unmethylated cytosine and guanine dinucleotides in DNA. To determine the main effects of CpG DNA therapy in allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma, research articles and analysis have shown that CpG DNA therapy is important in the treatment of allergic diseases.
