Background: During pregnancy, a lot of physiologic changes occur to accommodate the demands of the developing fetus, which affects the hematologic parameters directly or indirectly. Thus, to understand the changes better and distinguish whether it caused by physiologic or pathologic, there is a basic need to research red cell parameters for pregnant women. Methods: The survey was conducted based on the Chingeltei District Health Center in Ulaanbaatar using retrospective analytical research models. Results: A total of 400 pregnant women aged 16-45 years were included in the study, with an average age of 29.4±6.3. The median of red blood cell was 4.41x1012/L l in the first trimester, 3.97x1012/L in the second trimester, and 3.98x1012/L in the third trimester. Conclusion: Red blood cell, Hb, Hct declined at first trimester, reaching their lowest point at second trimester. During pregnancy highly significant association existed between Hb and Hct, both of whom have a correlation with RBC (P<0.001).
