Introduction: Dyslipidemia is a major risk factor of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, ischemic cerebrovascular disease, peripherial vascular disease. For this reason, we intend to assess the incidence, a risk factor of dyslipidemia compared with other cardiovascular risk factors. Materials and methods: The total of 208 participants aged, attended in our university based cross - sectional study. We asked questionnaire and examined all participants then determined socioeconomic status, bad habits, food consumption, activity, family history, chronic disease, high blood pressure and drug uses after did anthropometry the measurement. Also, we examined blood serum to determine TC, TG, HDL, LDL, glucose, three times each one by and defined dyslipidemia by the laboratory test. Statistical analysis was performed using STATA 12.1 Results: Dyslipidemia were found in 62.9% of total participants while increase of TC, TG, LDL-C and 58.6%, 3.3%, and 7.21% whereas decrease of HDL-C were 3.37%. Dyslipidemia were statistically significance correlations found between age (p=0.001), with the 40-69 year old age female group having the highest level of dyslipidemia. To identify the mian risk factors for dyslipidemia, we used binary multivariate logistic regression and identified age (p<0.001), smoking (p=0.04), and obesity (p=0.03) as the main influencers of dyslipidemia. Conclusion: The high prevalence of the dyslipidemia (62.9%) is indicated to need a primary prevention among to employees of mnums..
