Results of the CHRNA5 and CHRNA3 gene polymorphisms in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Keywords:
Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, single-nucleotide polymorphismAbstract
We have involved 100 COPD case, 100 control subjects using case-control of analytic study. Determination of CHRNA5 and CHRNA3 gene polymorphisms were performed by PCR-RFLP (Polymerase Chain Reaction - Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism) method. A comparative study of the alleles and genotype frequencies of the polymorphism of the CHRNA5 gene rs16969968 and the CHRNA3 gene rs1051730 revealed statistically significant differences between the two study groups.
