Introduction: To reduce perinatal mortality and morbidity for high-risk pregnancy, which is an important issue in modern obstetric science. According to the WHO review, the use of induction of labour methods varies from country to country. Now, Using two guideline for induction of labor in Mongolia: cervix ripening by misoprostol and induction of labor by oxytocin, not using for cervix ripening by foley catheter. We compared foley catheter and misoprostol for cervical ripening. Materials and methodology: In a one-time analytical study, 172 mothers were selected from pregnant women using a targeted sampling method for the induction of labor at the NCMCH in 2017, using foley catheter and misoprostol for cerivical ripening. Outcome: Cervical ripening by Foley catheter for C-section (20 (25.6%): 2 (2.2%), p <0.0001, OR-0.064, Cl-95%), oxytocin-induced and augmented (60 (76.9%) )): 30 (31.9%), p <0.0001, OR-0.145, Cl-95%) are statistically more than misoprostol group. Conclusions: In cervical ripening, inflating a balloon catheter with 60 ml of saline is clinically significant (p<0.004). Cervical ripening by foley catheter is less common the hypoxia at birth (7.08±1.05 / 6.27±2.02, p <0.037, RR-1.78, Cl-95% in the first minute of delivery) than to compare misoprostol group.
