Abstract

Since the concept of bone-strengthening in dental implants was first proposed in 1965, it has been studied in detail to study the surface characteristics of dental implants and their effect on bone strengthening. In addition, in connection with the development of nanotechnology, modern methods of treating the surface of dental implants at the nano level, creating a titanium oxide layer, and supporting the bone-strengthening of dental implants are being studied. The study was based on the study of the nano-tube structure of the oxide layer of dental implants and the possibility of determining the future development of implant therapy. The histomorphometric comparison of the effect of dentium titanium oxide layer implantation on rabbit bone on bone strength was more effective at 12 weeks than at 4 weeks. In addition, torque was highest at 70 nm in the 4-week test group and 30 nm at 12 weeks in the experimental group. These findings suggest that the 30 nm and 70 nm titanium oxide layers may have a positive effect on osteogenesis and bone strength, depending on the healing time.
