Current situation of zoonotic diseases
Keywords:
human diseases, suspected and confirmed cases, zoonotic infectionAbstract
As 2011-2020, 7923 suspected cases of human zoonotic diseases were reported, 2215 (27.9%) of them were confirmed. All confirmed human cases diagnosed by laboratory (Bacteriology, ELISA, RT-PCR test, rapid tests). A total of 2075 confirmed cases of human zoonotic diseases are tick-borne diseases (TB. rickettsiosis, TB. Encephalitis and TB. borreliosis) or communicable diseases that transmitted to humans through localized transmission. On average, 1-2 cases of malaria and dengue transmitted from endemic countries to Mongolia in every year. Endemic zoonotic diseases, such as plague, anthrax, and echinococcosis, account for 6.3% of all infections, but the socio-economic impacts are high due to factors such as the cost of socio-economic response.
