A viral outbreak in Wuhan, China, in late December 2019 has reached a global pandemic. In Mongolia, 1,777 have been cured out of 2,444 reported cases, and two people who have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus have died of complications of the underlying disease. In these 2 cases, the final medical report based on clinical information was concluded without an autopsy examination in accordance with the order A/55 (2017) and A/412 (2020) of the Minister of Health. In our country, there is no regulation of ventilation, the negative pressure in the autopsy room, and it is necessary to implement comprehensive measures to prevent air pollution and infection. Therefore, there is still a need to do significant work on infection prevention and disinfection of corpse storage services in Mongolia, and to involve pathologists and medical professionals in infection prevention training.
