Increased incidence of children diagnosed with cancer has led to changes in the treatment and prognosis of the disease as well as in nursing care and evidence-based care by nursing researchers is improving. In this manuscript, it is aimed to review the new trends and recent care approaches in pediatric oncology nursing. A new trends in nursing care for children with cancer focused on multidisciplinary teams to improve QOL and family-centered care, and provide technology-based care and survivors and home nursing care, and nonpharmacological complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Nurses should pay special attention to the prevention of poisoning, training in the psychological characteristics of children and parents, and ensuring that cancer treatment is not neglected. The International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the World Health Organization (WHO) recommend that accessible nursing care for children with cancer requires specialized nurses, a multidisciplinary team, and continuous training by a specialized team.
