Infectious endocarditis is a severe form of valvular disease, and although diagnostic and treatment methods are well developed, the prognosis is poor and mortality remains high. Infectious endocarditis occurs 3-10 times per 100,000 population per year in the United States. About 30% of patients die within the first month. Infections related to health care account for 25-30% of all cases. Risk factors include artificial heart valves, valvular degenerative changes, as well as intravenous drug use and vascular surgery with high-risk for bacteremia. In this case, clinically, the symptoms of septic pneumonia and septic shock were predominant, but the symptoms of endocarditis were vague. In our case, as a result of the patient's treatment, clinical, imaging, and diagnostic parameters were corrected and positive dynamics were observed.
