In recent years, wide range drug development research that prevents cerebral tissue and cell necrosis, degradation are being carried out. In relation to this trend, researchers are largely focusing on brain cell injury, necrosis preventive drug development from domestic herbal plants. In the composition of Antischemin, herbs such as Scutellaria baicalensis, Astragalus membranaceus and Ginkgo biloba. To study the action of Antischemin in the pathogenesis of cerebral ischemia in white rats in relation to lipid peroxidation process. Roots of Astragalus membraneceus, roots of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi and leaves of Gingko biloba planted in four hectares of biostation in Khetii aimag were used. The study was performed in the laboratories of Center for Innovation of the New Medical Science University. Global brain ischemia model induction: We have performed using Farkes E et al 2007 methodology. On 1, 3, 7, 14, 21 days of blood and measured MDA, SA, Cyt C, NO concentration, and from brain tissue LPO concentration were measured by using Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit. Compared to control group, Antischemin treatment group animals’ plasma had decreased MDA concentration 24.17-40.45%, (p≤0.001), SA concentration 17.34-24.79%, (p≤0.001), Cyt C concentration 7.2-33.9%, (p≤0.05), NO concentration 13-24.4% (p≤0.001), LPO concentration 11.7-14.78% (p≤0.05). Antischemin have been shown to increase decrease the intensity of free radical peroxidation, reduce membrane damage.
