Study of the dynamics of eye disease on patients visited during 2016-2018
Keywords:
Eye disease, cataract, glaucoma, vision lossAbstract
The reason for this study is the lack of research on eye diseases in the population and the lack of research to improve access to eye care. We have used the report of the Polyclinic Eye cabinet 2016-2018 and the reports of illnesses. Results show cataract is the most among the top 5 diseases, glaucoma is in the third place among the main causes of double blindness. In terms of morbidity, refractive changes increase from 30-44, lens and mucosal disorders and glaucoma are increased from 40-59 years of age. We concluded that it is necessary to introduce international standard treatment for cataract surgery, to establish a new cabinet for glaucoma prevention, to start visual care to correct vision loss caused by refractive errors that occur at a relatively young age. There is an urgent need to launch a project to establish an Eye Health Center at the Second State Central Hospital to address these issues in a comprehensive manner.
