Монгол сармис (Allium sativum) - ны нийт фенолт нэгдэл болон антиоксидант идэвхийн судалгаа
Keywords:
Allium sativum, antioxidant activity, total phenolic contentAbstract
Objective: The aim of the present study was to evaluate total phenolics content and antioxidant activity of garlic collected from the main cultivation areas of Mongolia. Methods: Dried bulbs of A.sativum were extracted with different solvents evaluated for total phenolics contents and antioxidant activities. Antioxidant activity was evaluated by DPPH (2,2diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging assay. The total phenolics contents were determined by Folin-Ciocalteu reagent. Results: We have determined total phenolics contents and antioxidant activities for garlic extract. The total phenolics content varied from 38.5±0.7 - 89.9±1.2 mg GAE/g in garlic ethanol extract, 55.5±1.5 - 98.2±0.9 mg GAE/g in garlic methanol extract, 70.5±0.5 - 240.8±0.8 mg GAE/g in garlic aquas extract. The antioxidant activity varied from 10.2±1.562.9±0.9% in garlic ethanol extract, 28.9±1.2-62.5±0.5 % in garlic methanol extract, 21.8±1.2-44.8±0.8% % in garlic aquas extract. Conclusions: In this study, the high content of phenoilic compounds, antioxidant activity of garlic (Allium sativum) in Mongolia.
