STUDY OF ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY ON FLAVONOID OF CARDUUS CRISPUS L M.Bulgan1, L.Mandukhai2, M.Saingerel3, S.Ider4, L.Tserendulam5, E.Enkhsuren6 1-6 Department of Bio medicine and Clinical, Mongolian University of Pharmaceutical Sciences buka0227@gmail.com Flavonoids are bio active compound with numerous pharmacological actions and thats are widely distributed in plant kingdom. Flavonoids are shown to have hemostasis, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, decrease hypertension, enhance cardiac arrhythmia and reduce oedema, while some flavonoids exhibit potential anti-cancer, anti-allergic and enhance function of liver, bile, stomach and kidney. In nature, flavonoids are plant-derived products and are found in all parts of plants. Carduus crispus L is one of plants with flavonoids compound and it’s biennial plant in the daisy family Asteraceae. All parts of Carduus crispus L, such as flowers, leaves, roots, and aeral parts, are used for treatment. Carduus crispus L contain flavonoids such as quercetin, rutin and luteolin. That’s flavonoids has high anti-inflammatory action and they were reported to inhibit various enzymes cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), lipoxygenase (LOX) and potent inhibit nitric oxide, prostanoids, leukotriene of inflammatory mediators and other mediators proinflammatory cytokine. They also inhibit NF-κB, АР-1 pathway, thereby decrease proinflammatory cytokine. So further anti-inflammatory pharmacological studies of Carduus crispus L are possible. í
