Abstract

Introduction: The annual report on health indicators in Mongolia shows that the incidence of immunosuppressive drugs is likely to be increasing as the incidence of new and renewed bacterial and viral diseases are not steadily declining. Phyto-chemical and pharmacological studies of ancient Mongolian medicine have been studied as one of the most wellknown medicinal plants, such as the Pink Rhodiola Rosea. Obtaining medicines and components is important for promoting traditional medicine and domestic production. Purpose: To investigate the acute and chronic toxicity of the Pink Rhodiola Rosea Materials and methods: The experimental research was carried out on the basis of the Mongolian International Medical School of National University of Medical Science, the Nuclear Laboratory of National University of Medical Science, and the Laboratory of Central Institute of Traditional Medicine. Animal tests were conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines in accordance with the "Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical Research in Animal Testing". Nuclear laboratory experiments used laboratory white mice weighing 25-35 g and Vistar breed rats weighing 250-300 g raised for normal breeding (20 ± 20C) in the laboratory vivarium. During the test period, animals were fed normal feeds. The research was performed at the Research Laboratory of the Pharmacology Center of the National Research Center for Scientific Research for the period of March 3, 2019 - March 13, 2019. The acute toxicity was followed by the accelerated method by V.B.Prozorovsky (1978) Spirit extract dose of 15% of Pink Rhodiola Rosea was injected into the abdominal cavity of laboratorial 20 heads of white male and female mice with a weight of 30-43 grams to determine the dose that can cause death in 72 hours was evaluated by the method of K.K.Sidorov (1973).The active dose was distinguished from toxicity according to the method of I.P. Zapadnyuk (1983). The Pink Rhodiola Rosea extract was given to Vistar rats at a dose of 32 mg / kg, 65 mg / kg, and 130 mg / kg for 60 days and compared their animal behavior, movement activity, hair, skin color, and appetite to the extract free group rats. There were no differences found and no deaths were reported during the experiment. Results: The experimental studies were based on the Laboratory of Central Institute of Traditional Medicine and the acute toxicity of the extract was studied by the method of V.I.Prozorovsky. Conclusion: As a result of the study, animal mood and movement were reduced after the high dose of spirit extract of 15% of the Pink Rhodiola Rosea was injected into the abdominal cavity. Average death dose LD50 = 3.25 (2.8 - 3.8) g / kg. The extract belongs to the non-toxic classification according to the method of I.V Berezovskaya (2003).
