Introduction: It has long been recognized in western and eastern medicine that a human being is distinguished by body, language and emotional features from each other. Attempts to classify various types of body constitutions have been made based on the physical appearance, physiological function, and behavior of the human being and to identify the connections of these characteristics with their susceptibility to diseases. In traditional medicine, the specific characteristics of personal body constitution have long been classified and investigated. The body constitution is a natural mix of the "wind", "bile", and "phlegm" and one’s distinguished character is based on the level of the greater or lesser amount of these three. There are three basic types of body constitutions and depending on the single or concomitant of these, there are total of seven types, including three single: "wind", "bile", and "phlegm" and three concomitants: "wind-bile", "bile-phlegm", and "windphlegm" and a combination of all three: “wind-bile-phlegm”. In recent years, researchers pay particular attention to the personal body constitution theory due to its potential to live longer, healthy and able to prevent diseases if the person can consume food that suitable for one’s body and use proper medicine and follow the principles according to the weather condition and season. In order to prevent the disease, it is necessary to study the personal body constitution. Considering the lack of research on this issue and its potential role in modern medicine we aimed to study this topic. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the body constitution assessment techniques and methodology and to make modifications and validation by some research methods. Materials and methods: This study is carried out by cross-sectional method and total of 100 relatively healthy people were involved in this study. Study on comparing and modifying the determination methodology of the body’s constitution of traditional medicine and its evidence by the research methodology was carried out among students of MNUMS, who were selected randomly regardless of age and gender since March of 2019. Results: A total of 90 participants were involved in our study. Their average age was 25.0 with a standard deviation of 6.3 and women accounts for 84.4% (n = 76). Also, the mean blood pressure of the study subjects was SD 110,278 mm Hg and DD 73,556 mm Hg. Conclusion: 1. The two most common forms are Chinese and Indian (Ayurvedic) in traditional medicine, the human body constitution has explained. 2. The majority of patients have mixed type that consisting of two pairs, while the smallest percentage has three-factor convergence body constitution type.
