Due to the harsh climate of Mongolia, there is limited access to vitamin D from domestic sources, as well as lack of vitamin D content in Mongolian traditional foods1. One in three children, or 36% of all children, used vitamin D supplementation. We aim to assess the knowledge and use of vitamin D in our research. In the study, 70 children's parents attended that are about 2-36 months children, from that male 29 (41%), female 41 (59%) and in the average age of 12.6 ± 8.7 months. Parents understanding the importance of Vitamin D is not enough (29-49% has a negative understanding). Depending on the peculiarities of Mongolia, there is a lack of understanding of the essentials of vitamin D in the form of medicines. Only 27% of parents use vitamin D correctly, and 1 in 5 children does not take vitamin D is the main cause of rickets. In our study, 43% (n = 30) of the children were found to have a bone-muscle alteration of rickets, indicating that ricket's unique prophylaxis was inadequate.
