Background: The prevalence of infertility in the general population is 15%-20% (WHO.,2010). Of this, the male factor is responsible for 40% (ASRM.,2015). Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate contribution of the seminal patterns towards overall infertility due to male factors in our environment. And assess the different seminal patterns in male infertility. Methods: It was a prospective study where in semen analyses of the male partners of infertile couples who presented at Unimed international hospital, was done 1874 men between November 2014 to March 2019. Semen collection was done at the hospital in sterile plastic containers by masturbation after 3-7 days of abstinence. Samples were delivered within one hour of collection and analyzed by manual method. Analyses were done for volume, viscosity, sperm concentration, motility, according to WHO guidelines on semen analysis. Semen analysis done by computer assisted sperm analysis. From the collected semen ejaculates, we estimated the values of some biochemical components: zinc, citrate, fructose done by BA200 analyser,Spain. Alpha glycosidase done by Androchem, India. Blood test done by CLx60 immunology analyzer. Result: Mean age of the men in this study was 32.60±5.60 years. The mean sperm concentration found in this study was 55.94±50.3 million/mL, mean semen volume was 2.75±1.09 ml, mean motility (a+b) was 48.84±23.40%. A total of 1874 samples were analysed out of which 582 (31.05%) were abnormal. These abnormal samples were further analysed. In the abnormality, azoospermia 205 (10.9%), asthenozoospermia 138 (7.3%), oligozoospermia 136 (7.2%), oligoasthenozoospermia 103 (5.4%). Conclusion: Most common abnormality encountered was in azoospermia. A high relative risk was associated with mumps, treatment of urinary tract infection, hernia, testicular trauma, andrology and urologic surgery, varicocele.
