The Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are identified as one of the most common mental disorders in childhood and adolescence, affecting 5-10% of all children worldwide. Many EEG studies have reported that ADHD is characterized by elevated Theta/beta ratio. Out of the 1200 participants, 603 (50.3%) were boys and 597 (49.8%) were girls. In accordance with the criteria that requires the presence of reports from both parent/caretaker and teacher, 84 children were diagnosed with ADHD and 7% was estimated in Ulaanbaatar. Among the 84 children with ADHD, 77.4% were boys, 22.6% were girls, 4 times higher in boys than girls (OR=3.675, 95%, 2.276 – 6.210) (р=0.0001). This is a cross-sectional comparative study conducted at elementary schools of Ulaanbaatar city. All in all 28 children of both gender aged between 7-12 years old were included in the study. The control group consisted of 28 children matched with case group by age, gender and school year. ADHD children showed more absolute deltha in the postrerior and theta band icreased than control group. The ADHD group had greater theta/alpha and theta/beta ratio and relative alpha in the posterior and beta of all region of head had less power than the control group.
