Background: In recent years, much attention has been paid to the use of natural medicinal substances, herbal medicines and preparations, and although traditional medicine has been used to treat many diseases, there are many types of medicinal plants and medicinal substances that have not been fully studied at the scientific level. One of them is Papaver nudicaule L., a plant belonging to the Papaveraceae family. Phytochemical studies of Papaver nudicaule L., which are widely distributed in our country and in Mongolia and other countries, have been conducted, but there was a lack of research materials evaluating the quality of raw materials. Because we selected and studied to determine some parameters of the quality of the above-ground part of the Papaveraceae family (Papaver nudicaule L.) Aim: Determination of some quality parameters of the above-ground part of the medicinal plant Papaver nudicaule L. Materials and Methods: The research work was carried out in vitro by the method of laboratory experiments based on the “Pharmaceutical Analysis Laboratory” of the School of Pharmacy of MNUMS. The content of some active substances in the upper part of the medicinal plant Papaver nudicaule L. was detected by the method of TLC and HPLC and the antioxidant activity of the plant was determined by DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl). Results: The concentration of protopine alkaloids in the upper part of the medicinal plant Papaver nudicaule L. was 0.0288±0.0005% by high-performance liquid chromatography. Conclusion: In determining some quality parameters of the upper part of the medicinal plant Papaver nudicaule L., ash content is 5.81±0.31%, moisture content is 4.17±0.165%, internal absorption coefÏcient is 2.66±0.51, complete absorption coefÏcient is 3.46±0.17, suitable grinding degree is 1 mm, approach the amount of substance was the highest in 70% ethanol or 27.55±0.43%. Also, when determining the antioxidant activity of the raw material of Papaver nudicaule L. in methanol and 70% ethanol extracts, the 70% ethanol extract was more active in reducing free radicals or 50%. It was also determined that the concentration of antioxidant active extract and each plant organ are different.
