Aim: Determination of T cell cytokines in serum before and after kidney transplantation using a flow cytometry. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted using a cohort study design. This study included kidney transplant recipients from July 2023 to March 2024 based on the Integrated Laboratory of Clinical Pathology, The First Central Hospital. Blood samples were collected from the subjects before organ transplantation and 30 days after transplantation, and 13 types of cytokines were analyzed by flow cytometry using the Human Th Cytokine Panel (13-plex) with Filter Plate (BioLegend®) kit. Results: The average age of participants was 36 ± 12.01, with 50% (n=5) male and 50% (n=5) female. Thirteen types of cytokines (IL-2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 13, 17A, 17F, 21, 22, IFN-γ, TNF-α) were analyzed in the samples collected before kidney transplantation and 30 days after transplantation. No statistically significant differences were observed between cytokine levels. Conclusion: Our study did not show significant differences between T cell cytokine levels before and after kidney transplantation. Further studies are required to explore other factors that could impact cytokine levels in organ transplantation, including histocompatibility testing and immunosuppressive therapy.
