Background: Traditional herbal medicine has been used and studied for thousands of years, and it is characterized by its compatibility with the human body, low toxicity, and therapeutic activity. has a great future, and it is of great economic and theoretical importance to provide drugs with high activity, low side effects and low price to replace imported drugs. Therefore, the basis of this research work was to select Braiwu-3 tan, which has been used in traditional medicine for many years, to evaluate the quality of the obtained oil ointment, and to make it easier to use, while keeping the medicinal composition intact. Aim: Determining the quality parameters of ointment Braiwu-3. Materials and Methods: The research work was carried out with the support of the “Quality Control Laboratory for Medicine” and “Medicine Design Laboratory” of the School of Pharmacy, MNUMS. The quality assessment of Braiwu-3 ointment was conducted according to established parameters outlined in the National Pharmacopoeia of Mongolia (2011) and Russian and Chinese pharmacopeia methods. Parameters such as appearance, average weight, weight variation, recognition reaction, particle size, acid number, iodine number, peroxide number, saponification number, solution medium, and microbiological purity were evaluated. Statistical analysis of research data was performed using Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism software. Results: The Braiwu-3 ointment is light yellow, homogeneous, average weight 15g, weight variation ±7.5%, acid number 112 g/ml, saponification number 35 g/ml, iodine number 4.283 g/ml, medium pH4.29, it was determined that the total polyphenolic compound contained 0.503±0.05%. Conclusion: The quality parameters of ointment containing Braiwu-3 have been determined by the Mongolia National of Pharmacopoeia, the Pharmacopoeia of Russian and China.
