According to a 2014 survey in Mongolia, the prevalence of syphilis among male prisoners in Mongolia was 8.2% while no HIV has been detected. The objective of this study is to identify the prevalence of HIV and syphilis among men in prison and to study the risk factors for infection. Sample and methodology: We involved 1105 inmates from 11 prisons in Mongolia. As analyzed of the survey data, the survey data were compared using the SPSS25 software using the` chi-square test and the t-test, and the 95% confidence interval (95% CI) was used to measure HIV and syphilis among inmates. In addition, the risk factors for HIV and syphilis were determined by analyzing single and multiple factors, and the statistical probability was true if the p value was less than 0.05. The result shows that no HIV infection was detected among prisoners, and the prevalence of syphilis was 15.7%. The prevalence of syphilis is higher in men who have casual sex as well as who have sex while under the influence of alcohol. In conclusion, lack of sexual education, no use of condoms, and no access to services from NGOs and NCCDs increase the risk of syphilis.
