Background: The “Jamts-4” tang which is widely used in traditional medicine, was selected and technologically developed and formed into capsule drug “Haliforte”. Haliforte capsule was prepared using four different herbal including Halite, Piper longium, Terminalia chebula and Zingiber officinale. The aim of this study was to conduct standardization study and determine safety and quality parameters of Haliforte capsule. Materials and Methods: Quality parameters (moisture, total ash) and safety parameters were determined by Mongolian National First Pharmacopoeia methods. The content of main biologically active compounds in the Haliforte capsule was identified by using TLC. In addition, the content of methods biologically active compounds determined by UV spectrophotometer and HPLC methods. Results: Piperine and gallic acid, gingerol were revealed in Haliforte capsule and suitable conditions for TLC were defined. The content of methods biologically active compounds in Haliforte capsule were determined: total alkaloids as 0.336±0.04%, the total phenols as 2.386±0.032% by UV spectrophotometric methods gingerol as 0.019±0.0015% by HPLC methods. Conclusion: We were determined quality and safety parameters of Haliforte capsule were defined and Mongolian national pharmacopoeia monograph’s draft for Haliforte capsule was developed.
